This beautiful Australian free form boulder opal cabochon has really deep colouring but also a really stunning violet / ultraviolet blue flash. Whilst this stone only has fire on the one side, the reverse is also very beautiful with a smooth swirling brown rose like pattern in the ironstone. So this stone would be lovely set with an open back so you can appreciate both sides.
