Australian Boulder Opal Freeform Cabochon, Approx 10x7mm

Price: £59.99 / each

This Australian free form boulder opal cabochon has an amazing flash of red fire in a neat stripe across the stone, plus some tiny glitter fire.   • Cabochon
  • Size: approximately 10x7mm
  • Has a hardness of 5.5-6 on the Mohs scale
  • Natural genuine gemstone - no treatment - as these are natural stones they may have slight surface imperfections. As opal cutters "chase the fire," following the seam through the host rock to reveal its brilliance, boulder opals sometimes have slightly uneven surfaces. These undulations are left to preserve the opal layer and its fire, avoiding unnecessary loss during cutting.
