Turquoise Brass Stream Drop Earrings
These striking earrings will stand out and get everyone asking where you got them from!
To make these earrings you get to try a couple of new techniques including wire wrapping briolettes and hammering wire.
Step by step instructions
Start by using side cutters to cut the 0.4mm wire to 15cm and 1mm wire to 20cm.
Wrap your briolettes with your 0.4mm brass wire, using the side cutters and round nose pliers. Alternatively you can just loop wire around them as we have done.
Shape your 1mm wire to your desired shape, you could use a pen or pencil for the big loops and use round nose pliers to create the small loops at the top and the bottom of the wire.
Place your 1mm wire on a steel bench block and using a ball pein hammer, hammer the wire to achieve the battered effect.
Once you are happy with your hammered wire, hang the briolette from the bottom loop of your wire and the earwires from the top loop of your wire.
There you have it, a beautiful pair of handmade earrings, ideal for a unique present that no-one else will have.
You could use different coloured gemstone briolettes or metal wire to create your own design.
*Please note that due to current stock, we have added slightly different earwires to those featured in the photo to the shopping list.
