Kids Rose Quartz and Aventurine Bracelet
We've created new jewellery making kits for kids! Jewellery making is a great activity to do with your children during the summer holiday months or as a weekend activity. Click here to see all of the projects.
This simple stretch gemstone bead bracelet uses rose quartz, aventurine beads and a whale charm but can be customised with your favourite supplies instead. A great project for children to make, it simply involves threading and knotting and no tools are needed.
This project will give you 20 beads (a length of 16cm when threaded) you may wish to order more based on your child's measurements. There is plenty of stretch magic so you can create even more designs!
As this project is aimed at children, we advise parental supervision and guidance at all times and when the item is worn.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
1. Thread the beads and charm onto the stretch magic elastic cord and decide how long you want the cord to be by wrapping it around your wrist - leaving enough room to tie a knot, cut the cord with using scissors (or wire cutters if you have them).
2. Tie a tight knot at the end of the bracelet - see step by step photos of how to secure a tight knot here. For extra security you can add a dab of glue and allow to dry.
3. Use scissors or side cutters to trim off any excess Stretch Magic.
Your bracelet is complete!
