Multi Coloured Tassel Necklace
This necklace is beautiful, on trend and so easy to make! You can customise your kit and choose your favourite colours or add charms to complete the look. Once you have made your first tassel they'll be no end to your creative ideas for tassel jewellery. This design uses minimal tools and would make a lovely gift.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
1. Begin by cutting a length of 100cm of your chosen silkon thread.
2. The size of everyday fork prongs make the ideal size for a mini tassel. Wrap the thread around the prongs tightly and to a width of approximately 0.5mm.
3. As you come to the end of the thread leave approximately 10cm free.
4. Rotate the fork and use the remaining thread to wrap the thread tightly between the first and second prong. Tie it tightly and tuck the loose end in to conceal it.
5. Gently pull the tassel off the fork.
6. Use sharp scissors to cut the loops at the end of the tassel.
7. Twist open a 5mm jump ring using snipe or flat nose pliers and loop on the top of the tassel. Close the jump ring. Now attach a 3.5mm jump ring to the other jump ring and attach to the chain in the centre.
8. Repeat the process to create 2 more tassels.
Attach to the chain either side of the centre tassel and your design is complete!
