Mystic Coated Sapphire Necklace
Make this beautiful sophisticated necklace with our jewellery making kit and easy to follow instructions. This project requires some basic wire wrapping skills but it's also great as a first project if you're learning how to wire wrap.
You can personalise this design by adding different metal beads, chain or a bail.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
1. Take about 10cm of 0.5mm round wire. Use round nose pliers to form a loop about 2cm down from one end.
2. Create a tight neat coil with the wire by wrapping the shorter end around itself. For a detailed step by step instruction including clear photographs to help you learn the technique click here.
3. Next, start to thread the beads onto the wire (start with 10 metal beads, one sapphire bead, and finish with 10 metal beads)
4. Use round nose pliers to form a loop at the end and close it following the same instructions as you did with the first loop.
5. Shape the wire with beads into a circle with the two loops overlapping
6. Grab the bail and clip the two loops together with it.
7. Thread your chain through the bail. Your necklace is now ready to wear!
