Sea Glass Necklace

Sea Glass Necklace

We love collecting sea glass but what can you do with it? Make your own handmade jewellery!

This sea glass necklace project is so easy and you'll have a beautiful sea glass necklace in no time - making a perfect treat for yourself or a gift for a loved one. This kit contains a pack of 10 bell caps, meaning you can make a handful of necklaces using your sea glass collection!

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Choose your pieces of sea glass that will fit into the bell cap nicely - the caps featured in this project measure approximately 8mm long.

Firstly, you need to make sure the sea glass and bell caps are clean.

You can use sandpaper to gently rough up the area that the sea glass will attach to the bell cap - this will make allow a stronger bond.

Apply a small amount of Devcon 5 minute epoxy glue to the inside the bell cap, then place the sea glass and apply a little pressure to make sure the glue has coated the bottom of the glass and leave in place until it feels secure.

If necessary you can wipe off any excess glue with a cloth before it dries.

Allow to fully dry.

Open a jump ring using snipe or flat nose pliers and attach to the bell cap.

Thread the chain through the jump ring and your design is complete!
