This sparkly Australian boulder opal cabochon is glittering with lots of colourful fire. Including lots of pink and red - the most desirable colour in opal.   • Size: approximately 11x9mm
  • Has a hardness of 5.5-6 on the Mohs scale
  • Natural genuine gemstone - no treatment - as these are natural stones they may have slight surface imperfections. As opal cutters "chase the fire," following the seam through the host rock to reveal its brilliance, boulder opals sometimes have slightly uneven surfaces. These undulations are left to preserve the opal layer and its fire, avoiding unnecessary loss during cutting.
