Australian Boulder Opal Freeform Cabochon, Approx 27x11mm

Price: £57.99 / each

This Australian boulder opal cabochon has been cut into a triangle shape, ideal for a drop pendant. Its half a very dark potch and half sparkling blue. Would be lovely combined with some faceted stones for added sparkle.   • Size: approximately 27x11mm
  • Has a hardness of 5.5-6 on the Mohs scale
  • Natural genuine gemstone - no treatment - as these are natural stones they may have slight surface imperfections. As opal cutters "chase the fire," following the seam through the host rock to reveal its brilliance, boulder opals sometimes have slightly uneven surfaces. These undulations are left to preserve the opal layer and its fire, avoiding unnecessary loss during cutting.
